Rainbow

What comes on my mind when I see the above picture? Mmm... I'd say fabric...colors...paper...and ... RAINBOW!!!

Yup! Rainbow. I always love rainbow. It's like I can see a lively philosophy in the sky. I believe everyone still remembers the saying "After the storm, there will come the rainbow". It makes us feel more positive and energized amongst so many problems in the world. But, do you know there are two popular idioms in English using the word "rainbow"? Here they are...

Always Chasing Rainbows
It means tending to look for something more exciting and more rewarding but without realistic expectations.
Example : Why don't you just stay and focus on what you're doing now? You always chase rainbows.

Chase Rainbows
It means wasting time for something impossible. The sentences/clauses are usually in continuous form.
Example: She believes that I won't be able to reach my dreams. She thinks that I'm just chasing rainbows.
